Enjoying your Backyard is a Great Alternative to an Expensive Vacation

Do you like to stay at home and enjoy your backyard? Do you love to entertain and barbeque with friends and family? Are gardening or birdwatching your passions? Maybe you just want to give your kids a fun alternative to playing video games, by playing games and socializing outside and getting some great exercise along the way?

We have dedicated this site to those who love to stay home and enjoy their backyard.

Let me introduce ourselves. We are Tom and Deb and the idea for our site came to us after one of the visits with our grandchildren.

All of us playing together and having fun in our yard. This site made perfect sense to us since Deb and I both love to entertain and have always loved being outdoors.

We have had many get together's over the years and find that our house is always the happiest when it is full of friends and family, who I might add, always seem to migrate to our backyard. And why not...

That is where all the action is. This is the place where we entertain the most.

Of course with four grandchildren now, outside really has to be where we all end up, having fun and playing games. Grandma and grandpa are after all, all about having fun :-)

Is having a barbeque your thing?

Actually for me grilling out is more of an event than a chore. It is something I really enjoy doing, but did you know there is a difference between real barbeque and grilling out? Not only can we help you find the best equipment and give you special tips on cooking your food with our BBQ tips, but we have great grilling recipes for you to try and some tasty barbecue recipes as well.

Maybe playing games is what you like to do.

Remember some of those fun times we had when we were growing up and all the games we played with the neighbor kids? We have a number of backyard games complete with rules that you can enjoy with your kids, family and friends.

A couple of things that Debbie and I enjoy are vegetable gardening and bird watching. Debbie really likes bird watching. Especially the humming birds. They are by far her favorite. We can help you not only attract some fun birds, but give you advise on some of the best feeders out there.

Now if just plain old fashion relaxation is what you are in to, it really does help having the most comfortable patio furniture to relax in. There are a lot of different styles out there and it is important to get something that is not only comfortable, but durable as well.

It really is all about having fun

Basically as our grand kids are finding out, having fun is what we are all about. We try to make our backyard a fun place to be and if you are like us you might want play sets and pools for the kids to play with, but with all that is out there, what is the best to get? Hopefully our thoughts and ideas can help you with that as well.
