A Marshmallow Shooter For All Ages To Play With

On this last trip we brought a surprise that I knew would be a hit. A marshmallow shooter for each child to play with.

It was absolutely hysterical.

I have always prided myself on keeping the grand kids on their toes. As they grow older I want them to know never to anticipate me because I could always surprise them with something new to do.

As you can see, here is one of the kids in action. These marshmallow shooters were the hit of the day.

A couple of the grand kids knew right away that grandpa had something fun to do. Our oldest though seemed preoccupied with mom, that is until I gave him a visual, if you know what I mean. :-) Once he saw the marshmallow gun in action it was let's do it grandpa.

Of course as you can see here, sometimes the battle can end quickly if some of the younger kids realize there are marshmallows to be eaten.

Making a marshmallow gun is really very easy to do. All you need is some PVC pipe, a couple of elbow joints, caps, saw and you are good to go.

Painting is optional, but it does help identify each child's gun. This way there are no arguments over who's gun is who's.

To make the gun I use 1/2" PVC pipe. This size works perfect for the small marshmallows. Just assemble all the parts together as shown. They should fit tight enough.

As you can see in this picture, when you make your marshmallow blowgun, your measurements don't have to be exact.

You don't even need to glue the parts together.

The parts should fit tight enough and you have your shooter ready for action.

As you will see in the pictures below these marshmallow blowguns can be a riot to play with. The grand kids loved them on all levels and I am sure we will be expected to have them with us for every trip.

The real question here is, is dad giving direction or has he just plain taken over.

Then there is always the sneak attack on your uncle. Of course the kids also learn the concept of paybacks right away as well.

Now really what kid could possibly pass up a chance to get his older brother

Having a fun time in your backyard really doesn't have to be expensive.

Making a marshmallow shooter for the kids to play with is an easy and inexpensive way for your kids to have fun and we sure hope you have as much fun with yours as we have with ours.
